I would recommend it wholeheartedly. \nSefton Foster Carer \nElspeth is a member of the Mindfulness Association\, a Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy practitioner and senior supervising social worker and trainer. This programme supports your wellbeing to enable you to be equipped\, both mentally and physically\, to be able to support the children and young people in your care. The course will be guided by two qualified facilitators (Elspeth and one other) in order to safeguard participants’ wellbeing in the best way possible. The course has been designed to support those that are experiencing heightened anxiety\, who are experience vicarious trauma in the care of others\, have experienced stressful periods following allegations or those that wish to focus on their wellbeing. \nThe session plan for the 4 weeks is as follows: \n\nAn introduction. As part of our desire to better understand the support needs of our carers who care for children with  disabilities\, this session has been requested. \nThis session explores how hospitalisation itself can contribute to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)\, such as the emotional impact of separation from parents\, medical trauma\, or prolonged stress.
