New Training Calendar for 2024

This year, on top of the Mandatory and Level 1 & 2 courses, we have two required courses; Building Bonds and Breaking Cycles (required for all carers) and Empathic Behaviour Management (available for all carers but required for those who are receiving enhanced payments).

The Non-Violent Resistance programme is a great opportunity to meet with other carers and hear how you can enrich your therapeutic parenting and address violent or controlling behaviours. If you would like to know more contact Angela.

Mandatory Training
We require all foster carers to complete mandatory training every three years. The mandatory courses are Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Allegations & Safer Care.

Kinship training
We ask our kinship foster carers, who are at the start of their kinship journey, to attend one of our Kinship Information Sessions and to learn more about their role by attending Kinship Foundation Training with the charity Kinship. Please find out more here.

We have developed a training and support booklet for Special Guardians. Click here to access it.
