Help the children you care for make sense of their life.
Katie Wrench outlines her therapeutic Life Story Work model in two interactive sessions. The model is underpinned with the goal of providing children with opportunities to acknowledge the multiple losses in their life and work towards developing an account of their life they can make sense of.
The course covers:
- Supporting children to build a sense of safety
- Techniques to promote emotional literacy.
- Supporting children to build resilience and self-esteem.
- The importance of information sharing in identity integration.
- Looking to the future, whilst keeping happy memories safe.
