Learn how to advocate for your child so they can heard in health care decisions.
How can you minimise distress during medical procedures?
This session introduces foster carers to the iSupport framework, focusing on its application in hospital and health care settings. Based on the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), iSupport helps carers ensure that children’s rights to safety, dignity, and participation are upheld during medical procedures and hospitalisation.
Participants will learn how to advocate for children’s voices to be heard in healthcare decisions and minimise distress during medical procedures. Real-life examples and experience of using the tools will build your confidence in using the framework with children going through medical procedures.
