Sefton Council is looking forward to celebrating Foster Care Fortnight (15th – 28th May) This year’s theme is #FosteringCommunities
This time each year there is a national focus on fostering when we shout out about how it makes a massive difference to children’s lives and highlight how we desperately need more carers in Sefton.
Members of Sefton’s fostering team and our carers will be out and about in Southport across the two weeks for a fostering ‘take over’. We’ll be talking to people about how they can join our ‘fostering community’.
We’ve also teamed up with the fabulous ‘Cake Corner’ so we’ll be bringing some mouth-watering treats to give out.
Please come along and find out how you can do something amazing and change a child’s life.
The Atkinson

Our friendly team including our foster carers will be on hand for you to drop in anytime to chat about fostering. Come and meet us and find out how to become a Foster Carer and the benefits that come with it.

All week you can see our ‘Angel Wing’ art installation designed by children from across the Borough.
Southport Market
Saturday 20th May 10 – 3pm
Our team and carers will host our own Pop-up Marketplace. Come and find out about the process of becoming a foster carer and the support and benefits you’ll receive.
Also pick up some free ‘Cake Corner’ treats.
Dunes Splashworld
Monday 22nd – Tuesday 23rd May 10 – 3pm
More chances for for you to meet our amazing foster carers and our friendly team drop in anytime and have a cup of tea and a chat about how to become a foster carer and the benefits for our children and for you and your family.
